Can a baby of five months join mother in an epsom salts bath?

Lol, What? (to the other answers). Yes, it is perfectly safe. Epsom salts are only magnesium sulfate and perfectly fine to bathe in with baby. Don't let baby ingest any of the water.

I bathe with my 3 month old all the time and sometimes use salts. Those colored scented ones are epsom salts with dye and fragrance.

EDIT- I agree not to get them near her eyes, but a bath of them is fine. However I don't think 3/4 cup to probably 50 gallons is going to sting in the least, the term ';salts'; is kind of misleading- it isn't like it's sodium chloride or anything.

And soaps and oils are full of *far* more harsh stinging chemicals- for gosh sake, soap is made with *lye*, one of the most caustic agents known to man.Can a baby of five months join mother in an epsom salts bath?
No you cant bath you baby in epsom salts. A baby should only be bathed in natural ingredients with no chemical etc as their skin is sensitive to harsh salts and other minerals commonly found in adult bathing salts.

If you want to bath with you baby try using dermeveen or natural instinct products they are natural. Can a baby of five months join mother in an epsom salts bath?
I would avoid it in case any gets into the baby's face. Insted of epsom salt you could consider a gentle lavender bath. It will soothe both mother and baby and wont sting the baby's eyes.
i was told it was fine dont let it get in the babys face. but i would ask the pediatrician just to be on the safe side.
NOOOOO!
